Proposal to fairly incentivize academy contributors
1. Winning over community members as contributors
The Eco Academy is a community-driven initiative that was built for the Eco community. It is a strategic initiative that seeks to help members of the community to accelerate their knowledge about Eco but to also provide an outlet to community members that wish to help educate others.
As the founders of the Eco Academy, we wish to provide a seamless onboarding experience for contributors. But we also seek to fairly reward contributors for outstanding contributions.
While many prospecting contributors are intrinsically motivated to participate without expecting anything in return, it will be crucial to find ways of effectively rewarding high-quality contributions.
Doing so will allow us to:
- secure the long-term participation of contributors
- maintain a high level of quality by incentivizing quality contributions
2. Proposed incentive system
We would like to propose the following incentive system:
- Administrators of the Eco Academy define specific tasks in Task Definition (RFPs). The RFP includes detailed instructions on the task, the expected workload, and the potential reward in Eco Points
- Community members that are interested in assigning themselves to a task can then submit a proposal to the assigner. If the proposal is of a good quality and the proposer fits the requirements, the proposing person is then assigned the task by an administrator
- Once a task is accomplished, the assignee submits the work for review by an administrator.
- Simultaneously, contributors keep track of their contributions in the Contribution Tracker.
- Administrators will contact the assignee for possible edits and changes.
- After the submission fits the requirements, the responsible administrator will approve the work.
- At the end of each month, administrators will hand in a full list of contributions to the Eco team
